@therunaroundsband at @hobdallas was a great show all around. Gabi got tickets for herself and a friend for Christmas, and then Grandma pulled a pro-gamer move and upgraded us to a VIP table that got us a much better view than the balcony tickets AND gave us a safe space where small girls didn’t have to worry about getting smooshed. This was the first time I have gone full manual under working conditions, so it was a crash course in trial and error. Ended up with some decent shots. The crop-sensor + low light + cheap 35mm lens = suitable for internet posting only. Zooming in and it all falls apart. That said, I was happy with what I was able to get with limited gear and being kind of far from the subject with a 35mm lens. Plus, it was a great show!
